Brothers,

On Monday January 23rd Division Past President Brendan O'Dowd and myself went down to Washington DC for the March for Life. This was my first time at the March for Life, though Brendan has been going and rep-resenting the Division for a few years now. I was amazed and inspired at the tremendous turn out of College students from all over the country. After making our way around looking for other Hibernian organizations at the event, I discovered that the majority of the crowd were young adults. They were carrying and chanting one united message, "Protect Life" as we walked toward the steps of the Supreme Court. I suddenly found myself enveloped in a feeling of guilt as we walked, at 46 years old, "why was I not here before? How many more steps do we have to take before the rest of the world understands this simple message, Protect Life?"
